To uninstall ArcGIS Web Adaptor, follow the steps in the sections below.
Once you uninstall ArcGIS Web Adaptor, client applications cannot communicate with Portal for ArcGIS. To reestablish this communication in the future, use the Web Adaptor configuration page to register ArcGIS Web Adaptor with Portal for ArcGIS. Unregister ArcGIS Web Adaptor
First, you must unregister ArcGIS Web Adaptor from your portal using the ArcGIS Portal Directory. To do so, complete the steps below.
Note:
The unregistering functionality is available starting at Portal for ArcGIS 10.2.1 and is required for 10.2.1 and later versions. If your portal and ArcGIS Web Adaptor product versions are out of sync, you must make sure both components are upgraded before proceeding.
- Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory, and sign in as an administrator of your organization. The URL is formatted https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/portaladmin.
- Click System > Web Adaptors.
- On the Web Adaptors page, click the name of the machine that is hosting ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
- On the Web Adaptor: <machine name> page, click Unregister Web Adaptor.
- On the Unregister Web Adaptor page, click Unregister Web Adaptor.
ArcGIS Web Adaptor is unregistered from your portal.
Uninstalling the Web Adaptor
You'll use your operating system's tools to uninstall the Web Adaptor. To do so, complete the following steps:
- Launch the uninstallation script (based on the default installation location): ${HOME}/arcgis/webadaptor10.9.1/java/uninstall_WebAdaptor.
Click Uninstall on the Uninstall dialog box to proceed with the uninstallation of the Web Adaptor.
- Once completed, click Done to exit.
Uninstalling the Web Adaptor silently
Performing a silent uninstallation of the Web Adaptor on Linux doesn't require an X display or user interaction during the uninstallation process. By design, the installation mode in which you are running the setup is what will be set as the default for the uninstallation mode.
To silently uninstall the Web Adaptor on Linux, launch the uninstallation script silently (based on the default installation location):
